Alice Springs Public Hospital (New) Emergency Department

We are happy to announce that as a direct result of work done by SOMA Health and especially our Healthcare Design division, Alice Springs have had increased funding allocated for a new Emergency Department.

Emergency Department Design is a very specialized field that requires in-depth knowledge of all processes involved. In the case of Alice Springs, Dr Kas and SOMA health were consulted to comment on designs already proposed.

It was obvious that the Department size presented to us would inadequately cope with patient numbers currently seen, let alone numbers projected for the future. Our proposal of a new size Emergency Department and re-allocation of spatial requirements allowed a new submission to be made to the Cabinet requesting more appropriate funding - this was approved.

Congratulations Alice Springs Hospital. This will allow facilities much needed by the community to be delivered.
