Dr Daniel Ishak obtained his Bachelor of Medical Studies and Doctor of Medicine from the University of New South Wales in 2014. He completed respiratory advanced training between 2021 and 2024 at St George Hospital, Sutherland Hospital, and Gosford Hospital.

Passionate about providing exceptional patient care and driving innovation in respiratory medicine, Dr Ishak is driven to bridging the gap between clinical practice and research to improve patient care outcomes.

Since 2022, Dr Ishak has contributed to several research projects with the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, including work on the diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), appropriate inhaler prescribing, technique, and adherence, as well as Pilot Virtual Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) Model of care.
