
Dr Vicky Chang | PhD, BSc(Med), MBBS, FRACP
Specialist Respiratory & Sleep Physician
Dr Vicky Chang is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), with extensive experience in respiratory medicine, tuberculosis, and sleep medicine. She completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales and subsequently undertook specialist training in Respiratory Medicine across several major New South Wales hospitals. She was awarded her Fellowship in 2017 and later completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Sydney, with research focused on drug-resistant tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis infection.
Dr Chang currently practices at SomaHealth Sleep & Respiratory, Sutherland Hospital, St George Hospital, and Westmead Hospital/Parramatta Chest Clinic. She also previously served as a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney.
Her professional interests include tuberculosis and infectious diseases, respiratory medicine, sleep medicine, pulmonary embolism, and multidisciplinary management of complex respiratory conditions. She is experienced in bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), pleural procedures, and thoracic imaging interpretation.
In addition to her clinical and research commitments, Dr Chang is actively involved in medical education and has contributed to the teaching and supervision of undergraduate medical students, advanced trainees, and junior clinicians in respiratory and tuberculosis research programs.
